She's the best.

Have I mentioned a time or two that I'm back at work now?  I sure do miss staring at sweet Miss Syd all day, so I cherish our {short} evenings together. We get home around 5:30-5:45, and by 7:30 it's bath and bedtime.  Daddy does her baths because the only tub we can use is our giant jacuzzi tub, so someone actually has to get in there with her to do the washing.  The guest bathroom tub would be much easier to use because of the low sides, but the cat litter is in there now.  Have I mentioned that our pets have become way more annoying and less fun since Sydie came along?  Seriously.

Bathtime giggles... love.

She has become a champ at rolling over.  She rolled over for the first time very early on (5 weeks, I think?), but now she has it down to a fine art.  She doesn't even like to be on her back long enough to put her pajamas on!  And don't even get me started on trying to get her diaper changed (apparently it's fun to roll over on her changing pad, on top of her dresser. #heartattack).

Oh man, she's cute.

She has started doing this thing that Steven calls the "sprinkler."  You know that old school dance where you put one hand on your head, the other hand out in front of you and then turn around pretending to be a sprinkler?  Well that's what she does.  Minus the turning around part.  Because she can't walk yet.  Duh.  Anyway, it's super cute.

Oh, and she laughs!  Be still my heart.

She sleeps too.  A lot better than she used to.  I've been successfully getting her in bed by 8:30 every night.  And she usually stays asleep!  Still waking up once or twice, but a lot less frequently than she used to.  She sleeps until 7:15-7:30 in the morning, except for this morning, when she decided to get up when I did.  Luckily, she just hung out in her bouncy seat while I got ready for the day.

This was the day I put her in a 6 month outfit without realizing it and her shorts kept falling off all day.  But just in the last few weeks, she's really started packing on the pounds (I think she gained a pound in like, 2 weeks!).  I think it helps that she's drinking out of a bottle at daycare, so she gets more milk at one time, and hardly spits up while she's there.  When she drinks straight from the source sotospeak, she tends to fall asleep before she gets full, and then when I sit her up, about half the time, I get drenched in milk.

Our girl is slowly climbing out of that newborn phase and is becoming so fun.

Steven had a dream last night that after I had Sydie, I was still pregnant and gave birth to twins 3 months later.  Omg, I can't even imagine.  Ha.
