A Quick Update and Address Plaque Shopping

Hello hello hello my bloggy friends.  I'm sorry for the lack of posts this week, but with school being out now, it's hard to find the time!  Plus Steven and I have been in savings mode since our fabulous Hawaiian vacation (even with a free hotel and flights, the Aloha State is mighty expensive), so no trips to HobLob for me!  However, now that June is here, hopefully that will change.  Although we are driving halfway across the state tomorrow to see a man about a vintage vending machine.  It's always something at 2027.  I'll be sure to share if we end up bringing the Coke machine home with us.  It's awesome.  It's expensive.  Steven's always wanted one.  'Nuff said.  Oh, and my car wouldn't start this morning so here's hoping it's something minor and will not involve more than one zero.

Until I find something mindblowingly awesome to blog about, I thought I'd share some address plaques that I have my eye on.  If you remember, our current address plaque looks like so:

Paint flaking around the edges?  Check!  Brassy brassiness?  Check!  Tarnished 7?  Check!  Our house was only 2 years old when we bought it, and that 7 has been tarnished since we moved in.  I think it's time to upgrade.

This first one is the cheapest option at $24, but I'm not really digging the hanging method.  I love the look of it, though.

The next one is slightly more expensive at $49, but I love the modern look of it and the fact that it screws directly into the brick.

Lastly, and probably my most favorite, is this one for $99.  You can add a decorative border around the outside, which I think adds a ton of character, and I love the high contrast white on the black background.

All of these options are extremely durable, the first and third being porcelain, and the middle one being stainless steel.  Which one do you like best?

Ooh I think I like the second one: the white with black trim and numbers would pop against the brick (and it almost looks like an English address plaque)!

My vote is for the second one. I like that it is durable and I too think it would look great with the brick.

I think you might be surprised at how great some spraypaint could make your existing numbers look!

The last one most definitely !!

These are really cute! Though some of these seem like they would only be good ideas if you also have the number displayed in a more obvious place that’s easy to identify even from the far. Address Plaques
