A Yellow and Green Spring Mantel

Hey y'all!  Today I'm linking up with Layla for the Spring Fling Mantel Party!

I'm pretty sure this is my favey fave mantel to date.

I got this bunch of forsythia at A.C. Moore for four bucks and filled the clear pitcher with split peas leftover from my thankful tablescape.  The green candle holders on each side came from TJ Maxx a while back.

Do you notice anything else about the above photo?  Go ahead, take a guess.

Still can't see it?  The TV cords are now hidden in the wall!!  They used to come down this side of the mantel, but not anymore.  Wahoooo!  (You can see them on my fall mantel.)

More details on the wooden box and bloom banner on Thursday for Kate's spring crafts party.

I filled the lantern with real lemons, only because Walmart was out of plastic ones.  I'm just hoping I don't forget they're real.  Will rotting lemons still smell like lemons?  If so, it won't be that bad.  :)

We've pretty much skipped right over spring here in the south (it went from chilly to hot in a matter of a few days), but that doesn't mean we can't still celebrate the change of season.

What's your favorite thing about spring?  Mine is the flowering trees and seeing the blooms blowing in the breeze.

I love the cheerful yellow of the mantle. Your banner is so sweet. I love that you went with bloom, rather than anything typical. Thanks so much for sharing at Whimsy Wednesdays!
