Remember when I got a new duvet from West Elm but the shams were on backorder?
Well, they arrived yesterday! After over a month of waiting, no less.
I don't know if I'm totally sold on how the pillows are stacked in the back, but the blue/green pillows are as tall as the shams, so it looks kind of silly when they're sitting up.
I decided that I didn't like the lamps I've had in here for the past 4 years so I took the white lamp shades back and moved the lamps to the console table in our foyer, where I'm currently loving them! So right now we're lamp-less, which is a real pain. That's actually funny, though, because we rarely even turned the lamps on (Steven's didn't even have a bulb in it for probably a year), but now that we don't have the option, I find I'm wanting to turn on a lamp constantly. That's the way it works, though, right? I haven't been able to find any lamps that are the right size and also the right price, so we're making do without for now.
Switching gears here, I was on Houzz yesterday, trying to get some ideas for art to hang above the bed, when I came across this photo:
Can you guess what I like about it?
The mirrors above the nightstands! I love that look, and I think I've pretty much decided not to hang anything above the bed because there really isn't that much room between the top of the headboard and the ceiling, but mirrors on each side would be awesome. See?
What do you think?
