Color Crushing: Chartreuse

I've always loved chartreuse.  In fact, I almost cried when a bleach stain appeared on my favorite chartreuse tank that somehow went with everything.  (I still wear it, just under shirts where I know the now-orange parts won't show.)  I've been looking for a replacement for a long long time, when I stumbled upon the perfect chartreuse camisole at Target yesterday.  The heavens parted, I heard the hallelujah chorus singing, and that thing was in my cart faster than the media jumped on the Snooki pregnancy rumor.  Oh yeah, the best part?  It was $5.

I must have been in a chartreuse mood yesterday because I also picked up this scarf with this CUTIE PATOOTIE pom pom fringe.  Target says it's yellow, but it matches my chartreuse cami perfectly.

In honor of my new cami and scarf, which I am wearing today (obvs), I thought I'd search the interwebs for some more chartreuse inspiration.

The mix of red, chartreuse and blue in these earrings couldn't be prettier.  They're only $9!  Love them.

While this scarf kind of looks like a torture device, I love the fuchsia and chartreuse combo.

Pink and chartreuse is a classic color combo, and one that just says SPRING to me.

Again with the fuchsia and chartreuse.  Whenever I buy fresh flowers, which isn't often, you can bet that a bunch of chartreuse poms will make its way into my cart.

Simple and beautiful.  Monochromatic flower arrangements are my fave.

You know this post wouldn't be complete without a little owl lovin'.  Aren't these so sweet?

If I didn't already love my glossy black front door, I would definitely consider painting it chartreuse.

The ceiling of a room is often neglected, but the pops of chartreuse on this one totally make the room.

This extra-long chartreuse sofa with the dark piping is gorge.

This monochromatic room would be fairly one-note if it wasn't for the little pops of chartreuse.  BTW, I'm rocking my chartreuse with dark gray today too.  I think it's my favorite way to wear it.

Chartreuse and white.  Need I say more?

What a fun play room.  Okay, now I think I've convinced myself that I MUST incorporate more of this color into my home.

Oh, and we can't forget my lovely little chartreuse (a.k.a lavish lime) table.  I love it more today than I did when I painted it.

Chartreuse eye shadow?  Must have.

Chartreuse hair?  Maybe not.
