My Hawaiian Wardrobe via Polyvore

If you read my post the other day (Three Takes on the Chambray Shirt), then you know I have developed quite an obsession with Polyvore.  Ever since we booked our trip to Hawaii on Monday, I have spent countless hours on there planning my Hawaiian wardrobe.  I don't buy a lot of clothes.  At all.  I would much rather spend the money at Hobby Lobby.  As a result of that, I really don't have a lot of clothes... especially summer ones (Christmas and my birthday are in winter, so I inevitably get gift cards and will sometimes use those to buy clothes).  Anywho, about once a year, usually in the spring, I really get in the mood to get some new clothes, but this looming tropical vacation has jump started the online shopping and I have seriously wasted hours and hours on the interwebs looking at clothes and bathing suits.  I figured if I started acquiring new pieces little by little over the next few months, then by the time we board the plane, I'll practically have a whole new wardrobe!

So this is what I've come up with...

The first and last outfits are for the plane rides.  I don't normally wear yoga/sweat pants out in public, but do you know how long the flights are??  We have a red-eye on the way back so I'll be trying to curl up in my tiny seat trying to catch some shut-eye, so I figured that sweat pants are more than okay.  And anyway, aren't they cute?

I get a new bathing suit every other year, and luckily, this is the year!  I'm thinking about these options from Victoria's Secret.  Steven likes the blue ruffly one.

Outfit number 3 features linen pants (from Victoria's Secret) and a cute wrap sweater.  I don't think anything says island getaway more than linen pants.  I used to have a pair, but I stupidly put them in the dryer and they shrank beyond all recognition.

Outfit 4, of course, features my coveted chambray shirt with bright yellow shorts and bejeweled sandals.  I actually saw some earrings almost exactly like these at Target yesterday, but I didn't have my gift card with me (d'oh!), so hopefully when I go back, they'll still have them.

I love the dress in outfit 5.  It's from eShakti, which I'd never heard of before, but it's only $60 and they gave me a $20 off promo code to use on my first order!  I've looked around the site quite a bit, and I just love it.  I can't believe I'd never heard of it!  Seriously, go check it out.  Cute, affordable dresses for all sizes!  Also, those Sperry wedges shall be mine...

Outfit 6 is a cute tank from Old Navy paired with coral shorts from J. Crew.  Those anchor earrings are FAB and I think I must have them ($28 at Nordstrom).

The dress in outfit 7 is too expensive, but I included it as a guide for the type of dress I want.  White, lacy, cute.

I have a skirt very similar to the one in outfit 8, so all I need to complete the ensemble is a cute tee and a nautical scarf.

So that's what I've come up with.  What do you think?  I've made a list of the pieces and the price point so when I'm out shopping, I can be on the lookout.  The only problem I foresee is actually being motivated to go shopping.  Clothes shopping annoys me.

Oh, and I just want to say thank you to all of my new followers!  I've finally reached 100 (101 to be exact!) and I couldn't be more thrilled.  Thanks peeps.
