Last year, I participated in a Duct Tape Jack-O-Lantern contest at the hubs' work. I didn't win any prizes (boo!), but everyone liked my pumpkin and I was pretty proud of it too. You can read about it here.
I didn't realize they also had a contest for the general public on their web site until a fellow blogger linked to it from a post about a zebra print duct tape pumpkin she had created (sorry, I don't remember who it was or I would link back!). I clicked over thinking that would be a fun, anti-lazy thing to participate in again this year (since we no longer live in Ohio where Duck Brand headquarters are and thus can't participate in the company contest). So I was scrolling through the submissions seeing what other creative peeps had come up with and lo and behold, look what I find...
Who the heck is Jaylin? It sure isn't me.
Apparently, her "latern is a nice colorful pattern latern." At least learn how to spell lantern. AND if you're going to completely rip off my work, at least steal the pic of the finished product! You can see the pencil outline of my witch on this photo.
She obviously didn't know that my husband works for the company and made one call and had it removed. But really, I hate to have to start watermarking all of my photos... is this what the world has come to?
If you would like to enter the Stick or Treat contest for a chance to win $1,000, you can do so here. I only ask that you enter your own jack-o-lantern. Thankyouverymuch.
