Operation Craft Room: The Lavish Lime Table

Something exciting for you today, friends!  (At least, I'm excited.  Maybe you're not so excited.  But you should be!)

I picked this table up at a yard sale a few weeks ago for twenty smackaroos.

Isn't she lovely?

But she was showing her age.

See?  Not cute.  From the picture above, it looks like she was a vanity table in her former life and had some sort of mirror attached to her top.

I sanded her down, gave her two coats of primer and two coats of Valspar's Lavish Lime.

Then I (with help from my awesome sewing buddy Crystal) fancied her up with a little pleated skirt.

Amy Butler's Wall Flower in Cherry - Love this fabric!

And here she is!

I picked up the knobs at HobLob.

She was Phase 1 in Operation Craft Room Makeover, and I just LOVE her.  Her drawers will hold all of my table runners that are not currently in use (as soon as I can dig them out of the office closet where they are buried under a pile of stuff that has yet to be moved back into our master closet, which, apparently, is the project that never ends).  Her skirt will hide long ugly things like kraft paper and bubble wrap.

And of course she's holding my very-old-but-hey-it-still-works TV.

Stay tuned for Phase 2:  Desk Makeover!

Linking up to these parties.

Wow! Love the colors. I just painted that same kind of desk, but I just went with black. Kinda boring compared to yours.

I am also adding a skirt to mine and will show it at another linky party.

Speaking of parties... I am having a party and you are invited! Please drop by to see what it is all about.

xoxo Bunny Jean
