Amazing Sale: Gap

Today was the first day of my new job.  I only had to work half a day so when I left I rewarded myself with a teeny tiny shopping trip and boy oh boy did Gap have a good sale!  All women's sale items were an additional 50% off.  Yes, you read that right:  additional

Gray open cardigan with bejeweled shoulder: $9.98
Periwinkle turtleneck: $3.48!
Black long-sleeved henley: $11.70
Skinny jeans: $11.48
Total spent (with tax): $39.57 (ack! this makes me so happy)

The turtleneck was such a steal because it had a hole in one of the seams.  I stitched it up when I got it home and it's good as new!  Plus that seam is in the back and my hair will always be covering it.

I've been reluctant to jump on the skinny jean bandwagon because I didn't think I could pull it off.  When I saw these, I figured I couldn't lose because they were only $11!  I tried them on and they were way too long (story of my life), so I thought I'd see what they looked like with a cuff, and look at the cute little birdies on the inside!  Love!  They're actually not skinny skinny, more of a straight skinny, but they look decent on me unlike the skinny ones I tried on at AE (I actually lol'd when I saw myself in the mirror in those).

Don't you love when you accidentally happen upon an amazing sale?  I know I do, and I've got my skinny jeans to prove it!

I did the exact same thing with my new skinny jeans! They are Jessica Simpson and I got them for $12! They look amazing! Way to go on the sale!

Awesome! I haven't been shopping all year!! I'm trying to save money so I'm so jealous of you. Anyway, I have discovered a solution to the "pants too long" dilemma. I wash my jeans and then try them on with a pair of shoes and pin to the level I want them, then take them down to the cleaners to get hemmed. It cost $8 a pair but it's so worth it.
