Steven and I were eating at Applebee's tonight and there was this family sitting at the table behind Steven. I'd been kind of watching them because they were talking about getting a "nightcap" at some bar (and they had their two children with them). Well, anywho, all of a sudden, the father turns to his son sitting beside him and, in a firm voice, as if he's disciplining him, says "Quit being an a**". Steven and I jerked our heads up from our food and just looked at each other like, did he really just say that? Why would you say that to your kid? That just seems incredibly unnecessary and wrong to me. There are plenty of ways to get your message across without cussing and calling your kid names. Good grief.
